When thinking about the SmackDown Live era, there’s no doubt that AJ Styles was the face of the brand. Whether he was a heel or a babyface, he remained a constant main eventer and it was evident how much WWE relied on him to be the top star of the brand. He even led the charge with a year-long reign as WWE Champion and he would constantly declare that SmackDown Live was “The house that AJ Styles built”.
It held true because he was the main player on the brand for nearly three years before he shifted to RAW. In that time, he essentially cleared out the entire division. It was a great decision to have Styles be the main face of SmackDown Live.
