WWE Clash of Champions 2019 was supposed to be the most important match of Kofi Kingston’s reign as WWE Champion. Unfortunately, it ended up underwhelming big time and it was clear that the crowd was deflated as a whole throughout the match. This also meant that there was a barrage of fans instantly jumping to the conclusion that Kingston’s reign as a whole has been underwhelming – which simply isn’t true.
However, WWE probably saw the match as a sign and felt that it would be the perfect time and place to have Kofi Kingston drop the WWE title.
