#2.) A good card doesn’t necessarily translate to a good show
Over the past few months, the fanbase has generally held low expectations of PPVs. Stomping Ground was a PPV that was essentially filled with RAW and SmackDown rematches and somehow, it managed to deliver and satisfy fans. The same happened at Extreme Rules and subsequently, SummerSlam as well.
While SummerSlam did have a decent card, it was clear that it wasn’t the best in recent years. Regardless, it delivered. Clash of Champions just proved that even though the card may be stacked, it won’t always translate to a solid PPV card.
