In 2007, there was a very intriguing storyline that saw Vince McMahon allegedly being exposed as having an illegitimate child. It was a big storyline that had big consequences. The idea was to have the up-and-coming Mr. Kennedy be revealed as the illegitimate child, thus making him a McMahon family member and giving him a huge push.
The end result would have been a big match against Triple H at WrestleMania 24. That was obviously a huge spot but due to various reasons such as Kennedy’s untimely injury, WWE was forced to scrap the storyline and ended it abruptly, revealing Hornswoggle as McMahon’s illegitimate son. It was such an underwhelming payoff.
