Admittedly, Kevin Owens doesn’t need the win as Sami Zayn does primarily because he’s already having an extremely hot babyface run – with or without the title. However, Owens is a fan favorite and there would be a great reaction to him winning the King of the Ring.
Moreover, it would be yet another great accomplishment on his growing resumé and he would undoubtedly use it well and integrate it into his character. Whether as a babyface or a heel, he could pull off “King Owens” in a fantastic and entertaining way.
