Becky Lynch didn’t end 2018 as SmackDown Women’s Champion as she had hoped and The Empress Of Tomorrow Asuka proved to be a fitting successor, even defeating The Man clean at Royal Rumble 2019. However, the night wouldn’t end for Becky Lynch as she went on to replace an injured Lana at the Royal Rumble, going on to the final two and eventually winning the entire thing.
Charlotte Flair was pegged as the favorite to win as Lynch was technically never in the match until Fit Finlay allowed her to go. As a result, she became the second-ever Women’s Royal Rumble winner and will forever hold that accolade.
