Since Vince McMahon doesn’t want to bring back the Mr. McMahon character too much, it’s very likely that he wants to groom his soon to be his successor on screen. While Triple H is obviously the one who’ll be taking over backstage, WWE will still want a major heel authority figure.
This is the most likely reason why Shane McMahon has been getting such a big push. If he is the second coming of Mr. McMahon, hopefully, he puts over superstars like his father did.
