Shane McMahon’s objective at the end of it all is to put over other superstars. Right now, he has a group of lackeys, with Drew McIntyre being the main one. It’s possible that his rise in power is so that he can eventually have a rivalry with a babyface Drew McIntyre down the line.
While McIntyre is obviously a much better heel, it could be done in order to help McIntyre take the next major step – a World Championship. McIntyre has all the tools to be a World Champion and Shane McMahon could simply be a prop to advance his career.
