Though it’s a longshot, there’s a big possibility that WWE put the tag titles on The Revival in order to prevent them from leaving WWE. It’s no secret that AEW has set the wrestling world abuzz, including the WWE locker room. There have been several reports over the low morale in the locker room and plenty of stars who want to jump ship. While it’s obvious that not all superstars can jump over to AEW, The Revival would be taken in with open arms on the first chance that they get.
It’s possible that this was another tactic to keep The Revival happy so that they don’t leave the company.
