It’s crazy to think that of all people that influenced Jon Moxley, it was Bret The Hitman Hart. Naturally, ECW was the biggest thing that led Moxley to the hardcore route, but not many know that he was primarily inspired by the Canadian legend. In an interview in 2015 with Sporting News, Moxley said that he always preferred Hart over Hulk Hogan, primarily because of his technical ability.
He also cited his character as a relatable one, because Hart would always find ways to outsmart and overcome big bullies in the 90s.
