#3.) He had an extremely dark past
When we mentioned that Jon Moxley had a rough childhood, we really meant it. Growing up in one of the shadiest neighborhoods in Cincinnati, Ohio, Moxley spent a good part of his childhood in public housing, essentially growing up by himself. He was surrounded by all kinds of wrong people and got involved with things like drugs (both selling and consuming) and violence would be just another day for him.
He found wrestling through old tapes and it was his biggest escape. That’s why there was no other alternative for him and in a way, wrestling really did save his life. His Jon Moxley persona isn’t just any persona. It’s based on the trials and tribulations that Jonathan Good, the kid, had to go through.
