It was WrestleMania 21 and the stage was set for the second-ever Money in the Bank ladder match. He had to go through the likes of the up-and-coming Bobby Lashley, the legend Ric Flair, ladder match specialist Shelton Benjamin and more. He wasn’t the favorite to win the match, but in this bout, he showed a lot of heart and a lot of wit. Despite stumbling on top, he would walk out with the Money in the Bank briefcase, setting him up for a guaranteed world title shot in the future.
