Good luck to AEW in trying to sign Kota Ibushi. Ibushi has been a freelancer for a while, and though he’s had a good run in NJPW, he seems to like having the free agent status attached to him. This was one of the reasons why he declined WWE in the first place. He seems happy wrestling in Japan and doing his own thing.
AEW could sign him to a different type of contract that wouldn’t necessarily make him exclusive to the promotion. However, having Ibushi as a part of their roster would raise its value and garner a lot of interest.
