#3.) vs Johnny Gargano – NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III
Simply put, Almas had Johnny Gargano’s number. At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, Gargano was looking to move on from the tragic DiY break-up and get his career back on track. His first hurdle was Almas himself and though he tried hard to get the better of Almas, Zelina Vega once again proved to be the difference maker.
The match was close from start to finish, with fans on their feet for a good portion of the bout. Vega knew what would put Gargano away, and she showed off a DiY shirt, leaving Gargano speechless and distracted. Almas would pick up the win at Brooklyn.
