Given his great promo skills, Jay could potentially do exceptionally well in this role.
That’s not to say that promo skills always translate to Great commentary careers, Arn Anderson is an example of that. However, I think Jay is witty enough to grasp the basic concepts, while also being young enough to be coached into better habits. WWE has a pension for adding these past performers into this role and this could provide a great opportunity for Jay to have a television character while not needing to take bumps, a la Corey Graves.
