Marty Scurll offered to defend his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship against three other competitors at the grandest stage of Japanese wrestling. When the match was made official, fans were buzzing with excitement, knowing well that this could have been the show-stealer.
Scurll took them on against all odds and all competitors put everything on the line in what turned out to be the match of the night. It was a defining moment for their careers and while Will Ospreay did walk out with the championship, Scurll certainly looked like a warrior in defeat, as did the other two.
