Ospreay has not only turned down deals from ROH and Impact Wrestling but WWE as well. He revealed in 2016 that he was approached as well. However, he turned it down while not fully closing the door on a WWE run in the future. Ospreay stated that he was happy doing what he did in Japan, as he knew what was hot and what worked.
That’s most definitely true and he likely knows that creatively, he’s probably in a better spot in NJPW as well. One can’t blame him as even from a financial standpoint, he certainly appears to be in the top crop of wrestlers who are earning “WWE money” without actually being in WWE.
