#3.) The bizarre story that led to the Vader match
If you don’t remember, after Will Ospreay’s controversial match with Ricochet in 2016, the late Big Van Vader began a beef with Will Ospreay online. Their twitter war led up to them having an actual match at RevPro! Believe it or not, Vader even won that match. But Ospreay revealed that Vader later admitted that he hadn’t actually watched Ospreay’s match with Ricochet and that his opinion was solely based on a 3-second gif.
As if things couldn’t get any worse, Ospreay even admitted that Vader had stiffed him throughout the match. The match was treated like a shoot with a lot of interference. After the match, Ospreay cut a “pipebomb” like promo, implying that Vader had refused to do the job to him.
