#5.) Triple H didn’t allow Vince McMahon to call her up to the main roster right away
There have been many superstars who’ve been prematurely called up to the main roster and suffered as a result. Triple H revealed in an interview that he told Vince McMahon that he could call up any superstar from NXT that he wanted, all but one – Asuka. Triple H said that The Empress wouldn’t fare well if she were called up prematurely and moreover, described her as the anchor of NXT.
No one can blame him. The NXT women’s division was going through a transitionary period and Asuka at the time seemed like the only one with the legitimacy to lead the division. It’s assumed that she was planned to be called up in the 2016 draft. She would join the main roster over a year later.
