#5.) w/ Ted Dibiase Jr. vs DX – SummerSlam 2009
Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. had been a thorn in the side of Triple H for a good part of 2009. Attempting to get the WWE title off him several times, they finally succeeded in doing so and constantly prevented him from his pursuit of Randy Orton for the WWE title. Triple H realized that he needed to enlist the help of his old buddy, Shawn Michaels to take on Legacy.
While Shawn Michaels was “working” as a chef in WWE’s corporate center, he too realized it wasn’t for him, and re-united with Triple H to reform D-Generation X. They took on Rhodes and Dibiase at SummerSlam and it wasn’t a one-sided match like fans had expected. Rhodes & Dibiase gave DX a tough time and were made to look very good against the veterans, even in defeat.
