#2.) Battling for the NXT Women’s Championship
Natalya had gone down to NXT to participate in a tournament to crown a new NXT Women’s Champion. The finals boiled down to Natalya and the young upstart Charlotte. Before the Four Horsewomen, before the Divas Revolution or the Women’s Evolution, these two had a proper, hard-hitting match that would prove to be one of the best Women’s matches in WWE history up to that point.
They proved that they were capable of so much more than what was portrayed in the Divas division. They were wrestlers and they were there to prove it, given the right platform. It was the early stages of the change in paradigm with women in WWE.
