#3.) Main Eventing WrestleMania 31
With the heavy backlash that Reigns’ push got from the fans in 2015, WrestleMania 31 was one of the least-anticipated WrestleManias in recent memory. Despite this, not only did the entire card deliver but so did the main event.
Roman Reigns had an all-out brawl with Brock Lesnar that saw The Beast Incarnate introduce the term “Suplex City”. The pressure was on Reigns as it was his first-ever WrestleMania main event, so he needed to make it feel as legitimate as possible. To do this, he started punching Lesnar a lot harder than he actually should have so that Lesnar would be more aggressive and perform a lot better.
Reigns was successful in doing this and in the match proved that he truly belonged. The night only got better as Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract during the match, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the process.
Not only did the entire PPV turn out great, but the main event was great and the fans were given the happy ending that they wanted.
