Cody Rhodes Clarifies The Term ‘Mark’
A fan on Twitter used “mark” as a demeaning word when Tweeting with Cody Rhodes and the “grandson of a plumber” utilized his lifetime of experience to clear up the negative connotation that comes with the term. Former ECWer The Blue Meanie also chimed in with commentary:
https://t.co/0SBMIZQTYz @THEVinceRusso @CodyRhodes what a shame two nicest guys ever met at wrestling event were these two . Unfortanatley one takes the side of the loser marks that have killed wrestling .

"Mark" means fan or customer. So yea, that'll be the side I take. Always.
Wrestling is doing pretty wonderful these days. Onwards and upwards with every show.

I never have and never will understand why someone takes the word "mark" as an insult. Or when a mark calls another mark a mark to cut them down. I mean I "get why" but it still makes no sense in this day and age. Mark is not a dirty word.
