On this day back in 2014, the landscape of professional wrestling changed once again as the WWE Network was released in the United States. The service, which had been first announced back in 2011, hit a number of speed bumps on the way to eventually debuting in the US prior to WrestleMania 30. Now, four years on, the success of the Network speaks for itself with more than 1.5 million subscribers.
