WWE has revealed via Twitter that the rematch between The New Day and The Usos is officially set for SummerSlam, occurring on August 20 in Brooklyn, NY.
The New Day defected to SmackDown Live in June after Kofi Kingston was out for two months due to injury. The trio immediately set their sights on the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships, competing against The Usos at Money in the Bank. The New Day would win the match, but The Usos would retain the titles due to countout.
The following SmackDown Live pay-per-view, Battleground, Kingston and Xavier Woods were able to defeat Jimmy & Jey Uso to commence their first reign as SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions. They also made history of being the first team to win both the Raw and SD Live tag titles.
The Usos are looking to regain the championships inside the Barclays Center.
