This final video from CSR is a special debate between Justin LaBar and WZ editor, Nick Paglino. A debate focused on the controversial booking of the Women’s Money in the Bank storyline. Here’s an excerpt of what was said:
Nick Paglino: I am part of the outrage. I hated the ending. It didn’t make much sense. For me, I more so didn’t like the match itself. Historic event, the first of its kind. Really well done vignettes with the women talking about what the match meant to them. Natalya saying it was going to steal the show. In my opinion, it was the worst wrestled match on the show. Forget the ending. There was just nothing memorable about the match at all and to me that’s the biggest travesty.
Justin LaBar: In storyline, yes it was disrespectful. That was the point. All the women in the match took to twitter and said they were gonna break James Ellsworth’s arm. Get invested. That’s what they want. But be aware. It’s not like these women were actually training for 6 months and this is a legitimate competition. It’s not like this was a man walking on the LPGA tour, taking the club and making the put. I’ll never be amazed by wrestling fans’ ability to get worked so hard but deny they get worked. They take this to a whole other level – realistic path – and say ‘WWE is setting a bad moral tone’. It’s just entertaining soap opera TV.
