ESPN.com is reporting former UFC fighter Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver, best known as “War Machine,” has been sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping, beating and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack and beating her male friend Corey Thomas after he found them together in her bedroom.
A jury convicted Koppenhaver in March of 29 felonies for the attacks on Mack and Thomas; Koppenhaver will be eligible for parole in 36 years, when he will be 71 years old.
