Judge Decides Whether or Not Ryback Can Legally Change His Name

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, a judge has granted former WWE star Ryback, real name Ryan Reeves, the right to legally change his name to Ryback.

A rep for the Clark County court confirms that Ryan Allen Reeves will henceforth be known as Ryback Allen Reeves in the eyes of the law, now that his name change was filed by the court yesterday.

Why Cody Rhodes is Unable to Use His Name in TNA But His Wife Can Use Brandi Rhodes

According to The Wrestling Observer, Cody Rhodes will not be able to use the “Cody Rhodes” name in TNA as Impact Wrestling is a televised product, however his wife Brandi Rhodes will be able to use the name.

The reason for the above is because Cody used the name Cody Rhodes on WWE TV, however Brandi never used either the name Brandi or Rhodes on WWE TV. Brandi went by the name Eden Stiles in WWE, therefore WWE has no ownership of the Brandi Rhodes name.

Dave Meltzer added, however, that Cody and Brandi might be able to get away with Cody using the last name during joint announcements or mixed tag matches, and they can be announced as “Cody and Brandi Rhodes.”
