Balor Begins His Road to Recovery
The official WWE Twitter account posted a video (featured above) showcasing former NXT Champion and the first ever Universal Champion Finn Balor beginning his road to recovery, after an unfortunate injury forced him vacate the title on Monday Night Raw. Balor is expected to be out about six months.
Drax Shadow Running Out of Time
Elijah Mainville, who one year ago signed a “contract” with WWE as Drax Shadow, may be running out of time. Drax was 8-years-old when he appeared on WWE television alongside his favorite star Cody Rhodes (as Stardust), and has struggled with stage four Neuroblastoma cancer since 2010.
His mother, who posts a daily video blog tracking Elijah’s condition, uploaded a video today titled “the hardest update I’ll ever record”, revealing that he may not make it to Christmas this year. Elijah was undergoing experimental T-Cell treatment as a potential last option to relieve his condition. According to a Go Fund Me crowd-sourcing campaign set up by friends of the Mainville family to take him on one last dream vacation to Hawaii, “the tumors in his head have grown and are pressing on his brain”.
Our thoughts are with the Mainville family and their friends in this difficult time.
