Raw kicks off with Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves welcoming us to the show! Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are in the ring to address the crowd. Foley introduces everyone watching to the roster of Monday night raw. The Raw Superstars walk out to the stage. Foley lets everyone on the stage know that he will be working closely with every superstar on the stage. Stephanie notes that Roman Reigns lost the WWE title for Raw last night. Stephanie calls Reigns a loser. Stephanie notes that there has always been a World champion on Raw. That will not change tonight.
There will be two fatal four-way matches tonight. The two winners of those matches will face in the main event tonight on Raw. The person who wins that match will face Seth Rollins for the newly minted WWE Universal title at SummerSlam. The competitors will be: Sami Zayn, Sheamus, Chris Jericho, Cesaro, Roman Reigns, Rusev, Kevin Owens, and Finn Bálor! Stephanie tells Charlotte to step forward. Foley tells her that since she lost to Sasha Banks last night Charlotte will have to defend her WWE Women’s title tonight against Banks.
