WWE Cruiserweight Classic
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
The WWE Cruiserweight Classic’s “205 lbs and under” rule is reportedly legit, with the Observer noting Cedric Alexander previously weighed 225-230 pounds, but dropped weight after WWE showed interest.
Additionally, most of the competitors in the tournament were under 205 at the recent weigh-ins, and some of them were in the 150’s. It was noted that Alejandro Saez (Chile) was right at 205, and might have to cut weight for the tournament, which is reportedly being presented as a sports program instead of entertainment.

WWE Brand Split
John Cena versus AJ Styles was being advertised for the main event of the live WWE Smackdown show on July 19th, but things may change as roster plans are not yet finalized.
Previous reports had Cena and Styles being the top stars on Smackdown, and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on RAW, and the Observer noted most decisions for roster spots have been made, and there’s been no talk about things changing, but it still could happen. The only thing that really is known at this point is that the women’s roster is scheduled to spltit up into two rosters, but it’s still unknown if they will have two women’s titles, or just have the champion float between two shows.
