According to The Wrestling Observer, TNA made a big play for top New Japan Pro Wrestling talents Karl Anderson, AJ Styles and Doc Gallows, prior to rumors surfacing of the talents negotiating with WWE. TNA wanted to secure the names for their big Impact Wrestling premiere on POP TV, and offered Karl Anderson a reported $200,000. Anderson turned the deal down for WWE instead.

TNA has once again started offering talents new contracts with guaranteed money, as the company is trying to control outside bookings. The new deals being offered still allow talents to work indy dates, but promotions must clear it with TNA before they can book talents who appear on TNA TV. In the past, TNA was typically offering per night deals to talents, but the new deals are said to include decent guaranteed money. It should be noted that the guaranteed deals are likely only being offered to top talents, or talents who TNA intend to push in 2016.

In related news, TNA has informed talent it plans to get more aggressive with merchandise sales this year.
