WWE will crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight as their 16 man tournament comes to a close. Whilst the injury to Seth Rollins was extremely unfortunate, it has created a little more interest in tonight’s show.
We are down to the final four in the Tournament and either Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio or Kevin Owens will be crowned as Champion. All possibilities could create interest leading in to the winter period but let’s start with what we know.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze
This match has spawned from the terrible mess that was Ziggler, Rusev, Summer Rae and Lana’s feud going back many months. Breeze has now joined forces with Summer and has been included on the main roster in probably one of the most lacklustre call ups from NXT. I still can’t understand why Tyler debuted on an episode of SmackDown and most people’s fears of Brezze being underutilised on the main roster seem to be becoming a reality when he lost his debut match on RAW in Manchester.
Either way, these two can put on a great match and if you try to enjoy it for what it actually is then I’m sure you’ll find some fun in there somewhere.
Prediction: Tyler Breeze (because he really needs to start looking credible and a loss to Ziggler feels like the norm)
WWE Divas Championship
Charlotte vs. Paige
If you listened to IWC Radio a couple of days ago, you will know that I wasn’t very happy with the booking direction of the contract signing this past Monday on RAW. With that being said, I hope the negativity and fallout from that scene doesn’t impact on what should be an excellent Women’s wrestling match. This is the kind of contest that we have been waiting for ever since we got the AJ Lee title breaking reign out of the way. This is what people probably expected when they thought of the ‘Divas Revolution’. Here’s hoping that both get some decent time in the ring to prove what they can do.
