The reign of Taryn Terrell
It is over. The long reign of Taryn as Knockouts Champion came to an end on Impact Wrestling. After a really good match, Brooke became the new Knockouts Champion, thanks to the lights going out causing a slight distraction. 238 days later, Taryn drops the title to a very “interesting” choice.
I will be completely honest here and say that Brooke is the absolutely WRONG decision to take the title off of Taryn. Brooke is very talented, but she has been to the top of the mountain before. She has been in powerful spots in the company out of being a champion. This would have been better if
A. A younger Knockout knocked her off
B. Gail Kim won because of their heated feud over the past handful of months.
I still do not think Taryn Terrell should have lost the title, especially on a smaller stage over a Pay-Per-View. What is the importance of Brooke being champion over Taryn?
Tigre Uno defeated Rockstar Spud and Grado
DJ Z starts off with a few dropkicks and then Uno gets hit with a neckbreaker from Grado. Grado and Spud each hit multiple punches to DJ Z.
Uno dropkicks them both and then hits a few clotheslines. Uno hits an enziguiri before and sends Spud to the floor. He hits his finisher on Grado to pick up the win and remain X-Division Champion.
This was a nice match, with nothing absolutely crazy happening. They hit some nice spots, but it was just above average in terms of offensive splash moves. X-Division needs to be a little more splash moves and less technical wrestling. Go back to your roots and do things that made you stand out. There were too many clotheslines and transitional moves over the big spots.
