New TNA Tag Team Champions
30 Minute Iron Man Match between The Wolves and Dirty Heels was something very fun to watch. TNA shows, once again, that tag team wrestling is still very much entertaining and a critical part of an entertaining show. I knew that Edwards and Richards would pick up the victory because it makes the most sense. They are the purest and best tag team in the world and watching them operate is something of great beauty.
With all of the changes coming to TNA and uncertainty around GFW, this may be the last great match we see from Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. I think they know and they see the writing on the wall. It is so difficult to talk about the future when it is so unclear with either company. Would either of these guys work in WWE?
Personally, Bobby Roode has always been a favorite of mine. He has the look of a world champion, someone who conducts himself in a professional manner inside and out of the ring. His clock is ticking to make a move. He can have success in WWE because he looks like he could fit right in. TNA brings in very talented guys, like Austin Aries, but they are not viewed as “WWE talent.” Maybe I am wrong, in the long run. Hell, Samoa Joe is in NXT. Anything can happen if WWE changes it’s view on what “talent” is.
Lastly, The Wolves will one day run the WWE Tag Team division.
Taryn Terrell Remains The Best
In a 3-way match for the Knockouts Championship, Taryn picks up a win with help from The Dollhouse. While watching this match, I realized a few things.
1. Taryn is very similar to what Michelle McCool was with Layla in Lay-Cool. You always saw her as the leader, very loud in the ring and very talented. The offense is similar, keeping it simple and adding minimal moves each week. She adds a few pieces each week instead of adding multiple moves each week. He has consistently gotten better in the ring.
2. Her facial expressions are effective when getting hit by someone stronger than her. It never looks like she is overselling, but more of a shock to her system. This is what more champions should do. Even though she physically looks like an underdog, there is no need to look like she cannot overcome something bigger.
3. Taryn is unbelievably attractive, even when she is screaming like an insane woman. She just has “it.”
