WWE Doctor’s Controversial Concussion Statement
WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon, who also works as an NFL medical consultant and neurosurgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is making media waves for recent comments he made about concussions and CTE.
Maroon appeared on The NFL Network following news that San Francisco 49ers linebacker Chris Borland is retiring from football at just 24 years of age due to concussion concerns.
Maroon claims football is safer than ever, and the specific comment he made which is drawing heat is as follows:
“The problem of CTE, although real, is it’s being over-exaggerated and being extrapolated to youth football and to high school football” and that “it’s much more dangerous riding a bike or a skateboard than playing youth football.”

“Farewell” Match Added to ROH Supercard of Honor IX
Roderick Strong vs. Christopher Daniels and BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs have been added to Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor IX event, which takes place on March 27th in Redwood City during WrestleMania 31 weekend.
The Jimmy Jacobs match is expected to be his farewell as he’s headed to WWE for a creative job.
