Gold Rush Tournament
MVP vs Low Ki
Ki goes for an early headscissors takedown but MVP blocks it, then Ki kicks him and sets up for a Ki Krusher. MVP punches him in the knees and sweeps Ki’s legs, then he goes for a Yakuza kick but Ki ducks it. They trade chops before MVP slams Ki on the mat, then he waits for Ki to get up and kicks him out of the ring. MVP slingshots himself onto Ki on the floor as we go to a break, then we get back to see Ki hit the ropes and kick MVP outside. Ki follows with a springboard splash on the floor, then he rolls MVP in for a two count and does a cartwheel towards the corner. MVP rolls under Ki and sweeps him on the mat, then he follows with the Drive By for the win.
Winner – MVP
Bro Mans are backstage talking about how hot the Beautiful People are, and Robbie E says he can be dating a Knockout and win the tournament. He puts over his spot on Amazing Race next week, and says he could be dating two hot girls at once, and no one would know. Jessie tells him there are cameras everywhere, and he knows since he was on Big Brother, and it will be hard for Robbie to get away with that. Jessie and Zema point out the camera that’s filming them, and Robbie nervously laughs before running away.
BP: Good opener, and I like how they let MVP win clean by taking advantage of Ki’s set up. Heels winning dirty is fine once in awhile, but this was a good way to book a heel.
The BroMans segment was also a good use of time; they promoted the tournament, the roster and Amazing Race in an effective manner, and it was funny.
