Plenty to discuss when it comes to pro wrestling this week, so let's not waste time.
AJ – ONE STEP DOWN
It's simple. When I think about AJ's strengths and compare them to the qualities of what I feel makes a good GM or authority figure in pro wrestling, I don't see the parallels.
Power is not given to a person based on their position, it's earned in a variety of other ways. AJ being given power doesn't negate the fact she's 5-foot-nothing and cute. The idea of her bossing around muscled-up egomaniacs doesn't even feel right.
AJ is 100% different than the historical standard for this type of position and thus, I can't imagine this will be a long-term solution.
She could make it fun, for a short period of time. I'm not saying she won't entertain at all in this position, but I saw several other options available that would have utilized her strengths in better fashion.
The actual position itself could have used some stability as well. The GM spot is very useful and effective when the right person is involved. I don't see AJ as that person.
