Opening Segment
What I Liked:
We start the show with one of the hottest storylines, one that ended Impact last week. I felt that Dixie did a great job acting out the part of the powerful, yet vulnerable. She does a great job interacting with Daniels and Kazarian, two guys who have been given a great opportunity in the spot they are. Both guys are great in the ring, but this has showed their versatility outside of the ring. It was a nice touch to have Styles save Dixie, but her husband to come out and punch Styles. There are many layers to this story for it to continue, including AJ Styles' family being involved as well.
What I Disliked:
Styles should have taken the punch a lot more effectively. Sell that and sell the fact that Serg is upset and he is now a big part of the unfolding drama we are seeing.
Grade: B+
Crimson def. Austin Aries
What I Liked:
I thought this matchup would do great things for both guys. The match did not last too long, but I felt they got a lot out of both guys. Aries basically carried the match, including a great suicide dive onto Crimson. Samoa Joe cost Aries the match, which easily makes sense. Crimson is going to get the Goldberg treatment, but as a heel. He will continue to win until he gets a world title match. That needs to happen.
What I Disliked
Comparing himself to Goldberg was laughable, but I understand what they are doing. I feel like Crimson is more being forced down our throats now, and I am not buying it just yet. He needs a legit feud, not random matches where he steals victories. It devalues the "dominance" they are trying to do with him.
