The Cashbox: WWE Knows What It Needs to Do

The Miz must have screwed up already and said something to Vince about Maryse's release. Otherwise, how do you explain the complete burial of him and R-Truth last night as they head into the biggest match of their career as a tag team?

The Miz I've received countless emails about Raw on Monday, ranging from hatred/love for the Muppets, hatred for Michael Cole/love for Jim Ross, the Rock's appearance via satellite, and Del Rio losing clean, but nothing more than your disapproval toward the way Raw ended. I'm 100% in agreement with those of you who are asking the following question:

Why on earth does John Cena even need The Rock at Survivor Series?

The answer: ???!!!

Nick Paglino said on the Voice of Wrestling radio show this week that the problem with Miz and Truths' credibility (or lack thereof) right now is much like the reason the "vote of confidence" angle didn't go over. It wasn't believable right then that the WWE was an "unsafe working environment" like they tried putting over. Miz and Truth aren't yet the "threats" to WWE or John Cena, specifically, like they are wanting us to believe either.

It seems more and more obvious that our recent reports here on WZ regarding Vince McMahon changing his mind on factions is accurate. Miz and Truth were supposed to be in a new heel group that consisted of Kevin Nash and a couple others, potentially led by John Laurinaitis or Vince himself. Seemingly, that idea is no longer the plan. That would be okay if they had kept building Miz and Truth as anti-authority rebels that could actually accomplish something, but they haven't done that since Hell in a Cell.

Last night, Truth snuck up behind Cena, IN A MASK, after a match (with the Miz) that should have worn him down and STILL got left – just like his partner – staring at the lights from his back. Yet we're supposed to believe they have even a remote chance of hanging with both Cena AND The Rock at Survivor Series? No chance. No chance in hell – you've got.

Unless…

Cena turns.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
