Opening Segment:
Teddy Long talks about Big Show and Mark Henry being in the building tonight. Christian comes out and says he should get another title match. He says he is resilient and deserves a shot over anyone else. CM Punk comes out, Teddy comes out and says we have a Super Smackdown. They jaw back and forth, and Long sets Christian and Punk for tonight.
What I Liked:
Finally, Smackdown features stars from Raw. This is well overdue, especially because Raw's main stars need more time, even if its a few minutes or a segment. Punk and Del Rio need to have as much time as possible to build to Survivor Series, and Christian is a nice piece between them. I feel like this match will be great from bell to bell, and may have Del Rio and Sheamus interfere.
What I Disliked:
Christian's continued complaining about getting a title shot. He is good at what he does, but needs to talk about something else. He really does not make much sense sometimes, and rambles on.
Grade: B+
Air Boom vs. Awesome Truth:
Like usual Bourne is the whipping boy in the match. We get great back and forth tag team action, as Truth and Bourne worked very well together. Awesome Truth picks up the victory in this match.
What I Liked:
Seeing a meaningful tag team match, even without the titles on the line. Kofi and Bourne continue to progress together. Kofi flying high is a great sight, as he knows how and where to hit his opponent. Truth and Miz winning was definitely needed, but it did not bury Air Boom either. The pace was perfect, they had enough time, and the chemistry was great between all four guys throughout.
What I Disliked:
Evan Bourne is almost always the weak link, and it just gets frustrating because you know how the pace of the match will go. They need to mix it up a little bit, give Kofi a chance to be the underdog, as well as Bourne picking up a few victories.
