WWE has confirmed the release of Tough Enough 2 winner Linda Miles, who was known on SmackDown! as Shaniqua. Although wrestlers were assured there would be no further releases in the near future, Miles, who was currently in OVW, has long been viewed as a “problem” by WWE, so many were not shocked by this decision.
Most recently, Miles was guilty of no-showing several training sessions and OVW shows; unable to be reached by WWE officials. According to a PWInsider.com, she actually was considering personally leaving the business. Ironically, WWE was actually contemplating calling her up to RAW, but ultimately decided to give her the pink slip.
Miles had been a topic of discussion in the backstage area for her attitude problem, which earned her resentment from many OVW workers. She was viewed as not being appreciative of the fact that she “won” a spot with WWE and a vicious argument this July with Jim Cornette after a lousy match didn’t earn her any supporters.
In fact, it was her attitude that partially led to the decision to demote her from her position as valet for the Bashams. She was expecting to continue training to work a singles role on the RAW roster, but such a call-up obviously never came.
