– WWE made the decision to run Benjamin vs. Maven as a quick “gimmick” type match after extremely negative house show reviews came in for their preliminary matches. WWE clearly did not believe the two were ready to work a strong match on the PPV, and it is believed that the negative feeling had much more to do with Maven than Benjamin.
– As reported, WWE definitely rushed to an ending in the Lita-Trish match due to Lita’s injury after a botched Lou Thesz press.
– WWE was generally not too proud of the Puerto Rican PPV, with the feeling that the Elimination Chamber was the only somewhat decent match.
