A pretty good Royal Rumble, to be sure. But more on that, later. There have been rumblings of another WWE diva appearing nude in Playboy. We’ve heard plenty of names … Victoria, Molly Holly and Lita among them.
Truth is just one WWE diva will appear … in the April issue … Christie Hemme, according to a WWE insider. The RAW Diva Search winner and former Juggy on The Man Show, Hemme stands 5-foot-5, with 34C-25-35 measurements. The Playboy issue will be on newsstands early in March.
Now, to The Rumble.
With Edge eliminated, the last two standing were John Cena and Batista. When both hit the ground at the same time (geez, wonder if that’s been used before?), different refs tried to proclaim each the winner. Vince McMahon stormed to the ring and ordered the match be resumed. And Batista won.
It was a reunion of sorts of Ohio Valley Wrestling grads: Cena wrestled as The Prototype, while Batista was Leviathan. The Prototype defeated Leviathan for the OVW heavyweight title in early 2002, losing the title to Nova (Simon Dean) a few months later.
– In other Rumble results: The Undertaker beat Heidenreich in a casket match that saw interference from Gene Snitsky before Kane surprisingly popped up out of the casket and helped his “brother;” Edge pinned Shawn Michaels (with a little leverage from the ropes); JBL pinned Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat match that also included The Big Show; and Triple H beat Randy Orton.
