– Michael Cole (on the UK airing of SmackDown) announced a new date for the SmackDown house show tour of Europe. It’s on Wednesday, 4/20, at The Point arena in Dublin, Ireland. Given that WWE’s got a Smackdown taping on 4/19 at Madison Square Garden, heaven help the SmackDown crew next month. It gives them 17 hours to fly to Europe, get off the plane, get to the arena, and wrestle. That’s cutting it VERY close.
– Good news for WWE fans in the Detroit area that watch “Smackdown” on UPN 50. The station announced that it would not be airing any Detroit Tiger baseball games during the upcoming season. All scheduled televised games will air on Fox Sports Detroit.
– mojo.com is projecting The Rock’s “Be Cool” film to be the #1 movie this weekend, and to gross $22.6 million in its first week out.
