– Vince McMahon did not attend RAW or SmackDown this past week in the Carolinas. In his absence, Stephanie McMahon has reportedly stepped up a lot and has gotten strong reviews thus far. One WWE source added quote, “She’s definitely her father’s daughter. She idolizes her dad and is emulating him as a leader. It would kill her to let him down. She’s doing a great job.” Despite getting positive reviews from others, there are also some who feel she has been somewhat testy and demanding, but understand how stressful the job is. Says one WWE wrestler, “McMahon’s don’t let you see them sweat.”
– Some added responsibilities have taken place involving John Laurenaitis, Jim Ross and Kevin Dunn in McMahon’s absence as well. All three individuals are said to be in frequent contact with McMahon at all times. In addition, Triple H is said to be playing more of a role backstage as well. It should be noted that Hunter is trying to keep a lower profile in terms of helping out as he understands he is still an active wrestler and doesn’t want to overstep his bounds with other workers on the roster. For those wondering, Shane McMahon isn’t playing a stronger role in his father’s absence and is still taking care of business as usual.
– Since Vince McMahon’s injury at the Royal Rumble PPV in January, he has been unable to attend TV tapings and speak to the announcers during a live broadcast. It is very rare that the announces are getting a break from McMahon being in their ear.
