NWA Prime Time results from January 9 in Columbus, GA, at the Prime Time Arena: Micah & Tracy Taylor beat Exotic Ones (Simon Sermon & Rick Michaels to advance in the tag team title tournament when Tracy Taylor pinned Rick Michaels not once but twice. Johnny Swinger & Zero Tolerance beat Bulldog Raines & Bull Buchanan to advance in the tag team tournament with an assist from “GCW ref” Jeremy Black. Colt Derringer & Josh Stone (with Genni Right) beat Chip Day & Shaun Tempers. It was supposed to be a singles match but Derringer and Right made it 3 on 1 until Tempers came out to aid Day. A tag match was ordered with the heels coming out on top. Killer Instinct (Mike Stratus & Jake Slater with new manager Chic Donovan) beat Ace Rockwell & Kyle Matthews. The PTPW Heayvweight Title match between Champion Iceberg vs. Chris Stevens ended as a time limit draw. Postmatch, Iceberg told Stevens that he had blown his only shot at title and gave him a beating. Marty Jannetty beat Sonny Siaki via DQ. Great Championship Wrestling results for January 8 in Phenix City, AL, are as follows: Kareem Abdul Jamar & Joey Lightning defeated Ron Stalker & Princeton Gainey when Kareem Abdul Jamar pinned Stalker following a modified front flip neckbreaker. Murder One defeated Rob Adonis after Slaughter and Wicked Nemesis interfered, allowing Murder to pin Adonis with an Ace crusher. Post-match, The Merchants of Death attempted to break Adonis’ arm. The Southside Trash made the save. SST challenged MOD to a match. Wicked Nemesis agreed to a match with Slaughter and M-1 rather than the champions, M-1 and Orion Bishop. Tex Monroe defeated the debuting Omega with Texas Toast (sliced bread #2).
The Southside Trash defeated Murder One & Slaughter (with Wicked Nemesis) via DQ when Slaughter used Wicked Nemesis’s cane on Rowdy. The Merchants of Death then attempted then to break Raunchy’s arm with Adonis coming to their rescue. Cru Jones & Shaun Banks defeated Frankie Valentine & J-Rod when Jones pinned Valentine.
