Facts Hurt, don’t they Eric?

On the heels of the big “youth push” in TNA during the past several weeks, here are some facts from
this week in the business:
-Impact’s rating was the lowest it has been in the last 8 weeks. Impact drew a 0.97 rating.
-Impact scored a 0.71 rating among both key male demographics (18-34 & 18-49).
Bischoff – “what legitimate focus groups conducted by credible media companies in the business of
such have clearly identified: the TV audience (including 18-34 males) rate with ESTABLISHED (and yes
older) stars!”.
Funny that Eric, because I’ve got information from your biggest focus group – your ENTIRE audience.
And they beg to differ.
Bischoff – “In my opinion Vince Russo, Dixie Carter and the team at TNA have done a great job of
utilizing veteran stars to help elevate some of the young emerging talent in TNA”.
Apparently – that’s his opinion backed up by the “facts”.
Let’s take a look at some other facts from impact this week.
202 – the combined age of Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan – four men involved in one
of the most unexplained storylines I’ve ever seen (my email and twitter addresses are at the end of
this column – if anyone can enlighten me about what they’re arguing about).
22 – the total number of years that the final four in TNA’s world title tournament had spent in the
WWE during their careers.
4.06 – the average time (in minutes) that each World Title quarter final match last. This is (let us not
forget) for the most prestigious title in TNA.
Zero – the percentage chance that anyone but Kurt Angle will win the TNA World Title at Bound For
Glory while Angle has the “if I lose, I retire” stipulation on each of his matches.
Those, Eric, are the facts.
