LA Knight’s WWE Future in Question After Creative Plan Changes — REPORT

It’s pretty normal for WWE fans to worry when a big name suddenly disappears from TV, especially after the recent talent releases. That’s exactly what happened with LA Knight, who wasn’t on the May 4 episode of WWE RAW in Omaha. Many fans were concerned about his WWE future.

However, there doesn’t seem to be any real reason to worry about his position in WWE. LA Knight still remains part of the roster. His absence is said to be linked to storyline changes, not injury, backstage problems, or a release.

LA Knight’s Original Post-WrestleMania WWE Plans Were Reportedly Changed

Knight teamed up with The Usos and fought against The Vision and IShowSpeed at WrestleMania 42. His team won, and that win looked like it would lead to a new feud. Moreover, early plans reportedly involved a short program with Gunther.

A Bodyslam+ report states, “LA Knight was scheduled to have a short program with Gunther before the company pivoted to Gunther heading to SmackDown to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.”

Knight even had a backstage confrontational chat with Gunther while the latter was giving an interview. The Megastar congratulated Gunther for winning at WrestleMania. But he also reminded Gunther that he needed three men to get the job done against Seth Rollins. Knight mentioned that it counted as a loss, according to him.

Gunther’s new direction became obvious on the May 1 episode of SmackDown, where he attacked Cody Rhodes after a match and stood tall with the title.

Right now, the question is what WWE has planned for him next. He could engage in a feud with The Usos since he has history with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Moreover, before WrestleMania, he had some tense chats with The Usos regarding this, especially with Jey.
