Sheamus has provided an update on his shoulder injury.
The Celtic Warrior has not competed since teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio against The Judgment Day on the November 17 episode of WWE RAW.
WWE had initially included him in the Last Time Is Now Tournament, but a shoulder injury forced the former multi-time world champion to withdraw.
Appearing on Off the Ball Radio, Sheamus provided an update on his condition. He noted that the injury caught him off guard and gradually worsened over time despite temporary relief from injections.
“Yeah, this one has been difficult,” Sheamus said. “It kind of came out of nowhere. I started noticing my shoulder around May-June at Clash in Paris against Rusev. It was bothering me and I thought I tore it. I got a couple of shots in there and it felt good for a little while, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me.”
Sheamus said he has been focused on rehabilitation and is eager to return to in-ring action after being sidelined for months.
“I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing. I’m dying to get back in the ring and back to work. I have cabin fever.” [H/T Fightful]
Despite being away from the WWE Universe, Sheamus has remained active in public appearances. He recently announced a draft pick for the Tennessee Titans during the 2026 NFL Draft.
